About

Welcome to Lower Back Pain dot TV! A site dedicated to bringing you the best information that can set you on the right road to recovery from your lower right back pain or lower left side back pain.

My name is Martin and I recovered completely from serious back pain which left me in great discomfort, even while lying in bed, and at its peak made even taking a step excrutiatingly painful.

I was diagnosed with a ruptured (herniated) disc in my lower back and it manifested itself as lower left side back pain, classic sciatica and numbness down my right leg from my knee to my toes (which was very worrying!).

Luckily for me, I am friendly with an osteopath who advised me, after asssessing my situation that I should use an inversion table as my bulging disc was pressing on a nerve root, causing spasms, pain and numbness.

Sure enough after about 8 sessions, hanging inverted for just 10 mins over a three week period, my sciatica had cleared up completely and my lower left side back pain was hardly noticable. Also, the sensation returned to my leg and foot as the numbness faded. After the 8 sessions on the inversion table I did two or three “maintainence” sessions just to make sure I was keeping my spine healthy, and I am now completely recovered from lower back pain entirely.

I also made sure I took mega doses of Glucosamine & Condriotin and Omega-3 fish oils for their anti-inflamitory properties, to make sure my herniated disc had the best chance of repairing itself (spinal discs are made of this stuff!)

Now I’m back training in the Gym, and can squat heavy weights again as I could before the injury - the only side-effect of the episode is that I am very concious of form, and posture while training, walking, sitting etc which surely can only be seen as positive.

Lower back pain can be crippling not only to your body but to your enjoyment of life - I wanted to start this website as a resource for you, the sufferer, to give you hope and to say “You CAN recover fully from your lower back pain”.

While the source of all back pain varies and can be caused by many factors, I encourage you to take responsibility for your own recovery, question the assumptions, both your own and of others, and I hope this site can contribute to your research and to your speedy recovery from lower back pain.
